Should I stay or should I go...??

I seem to have ended up with a number of _big_decisions_ to make. Not sure how, as I did plan to mimise big-decision-making, cos this was supposed to be a get-away-from-it-all travel-&-see-the-world type lark, but it seems to have turned all deep-&-meaningful, since Im now also trying to decide what to do with the rest of my life. Theres a lot of hyphens in that last sentance!

• Should I stay in Phi Phi and help with the voluntary work ? I want to, but that thing called money is becoming an issue...in fact, when is it not as issue? Theres plenty of stuff to do until Xmas, and then I could resume travelling. But if I stay, I need to invent some money somehow, but I dont want to do any work that local people could do, cos they need it more than me, but otherwise Ill run outta dosh...
• Do I go to Australia & New Zealand like I planned ? According to my flight plans, Im supposed to be in Bali now, then going to Aus & NZ for 1month each, before returning to Thailand for Xmas. If I go, Ive kinda got some work-for-free-accomodation-&-food lined up, and I can also use the time to maybe find a paid job for later next year and then get a working visa knowing it will be worthwhile. But if I go, I cant volunteer for HiPhiPhi, and when I come back here for Xmas, most stuff should hopefully be completed, so less help will be needed, and HiPhiPhi will be winding down in the new year, since most of the islands reconstruction work is almost complete.
• Do I go home and sort out all the house stuff I didnt sort out before I left? The original idea was to finish the diy on the house so that I could rent it out; since the diy didnt get finished, I cant rent it out yet and so Im still paying the mortgage, hence the low level of travel funds. Ive even resorted to trying to bribe some of my friends to finish it off, and while they've been really helpful, they're all kinda busy living their own lives, and I dont have much in the way of bribery funds! Even if it doesnt get rented out, I cant sell it either until the diy etc is finished. But, truth be told, I dont want to sell it - its my first house etc etc, but if Im gonna travel/work abroad for 1year, whats the point of keeping it (unless I can get a very well paid job that will cover the mortgage & my travel costs)?? Plus theres the cost of going home and sorting it all out, which would be worth it if I knew that it would rent/sell ok, but I have no way of knowing this beforehand!
  

So many _big_decisions_, so little time. Answers on a postcard, please ??? :)

My tourist Thai visa runs out about 10Oct, so I need to decide before then incase I need to book a flight home or to Aus/NZ. Id rather stay & help in PhiPhi, but its all dependant on getting some sort of job and sorting out that bleeping house! Living in England was never this hard, sigh!
